Scope: 5,000-7,000 words, 28-34 “spreads” Supporting Material: website, promotional video, “physical” advertisement, process blog/ book/ documentation

Project: My intent for this project is to meaningfully explore a theme as well as investigate the affordances of an interactive, gestural platform. The first few weeks of this project are dedicated to an exploratory period: researching topic areas, reading literature, understanding the competitive landscape, and experimenting with publishing platforms. Researching a variety of topics (reading, interactive narrative, active/ passive participation, evolution/establishment of content paradigms) and existing iPad applications will help inform the form of this publication, as well as shape its relevance as an artifact. Additionally, researched articles, or possibly related literature, will serve as the content for the publication.

By taking time to investigate scholarly work, I hope to create a publication that is socially and culturally relevant in addition to typographically sensitive.
